Business branding is a technique that is necessary to promote knowledge of a business. A custom logo is one of the best ways to practice branding techniques. Logos should do a few things and follow a couple of guidelines to be the best possible representation of a business.

Color Combinations. A good logo only has 2 or 3 colors in it. Using too many colors will make an embroidered logo look unclean and disorganized. Blended colors do not work well for embroidery either. It may be fine on paper because a computer can change color pixel by pixel. With embroidery however, the color change must be accomplished by many stitches which also translates into many different colors. The more colors used in an embroidery logo, the more it will cost, and the more complicated it will look.

Design Guidelines. Specific size guidelines should be followed when sending a logo for embroidery. Shirt logos for the pocket area should be around 4 inches, while logos for hats can be rectangular, no longer than 4 inches. Logos for hats typically must be constructed differently than logos used for shirts so they appear even and centered. A square logo with company name to the left or right may not center up on a hat. In this case the company name should be moved to an orientation that will center it on a hat logo design.

Association to Business. A logo should be a unique custom design that reflects your business. The process of making a corporate logo can be long and difficult, but in the end you should come up with something that attracts customers, reflects the philosophies of your business, and meets current market trends.

Armed with this knowledge of embroidery, creating a great logo than can transfer across mediums is much easier to foresee. Creating a custom embroidered logo for your business is an important decision that will stick with the business for ever. The logo will be printed and embroidered on all marketing material from that point on. Following the guidelines will help create a logo that will be a proud addition to the business.

If you are in the credit repair business, you may have at one time or another expressed interest in purchasing credit repair leads.

Credit repair leads can be provided in many different ways. Such as referrals, a toll-free number allowing for people to contact you that may need your assistance, and a web site for people to visit to familiarize themselves with your company and educate themselves about credit repair and the services you can provide them with.

Along these lines of leads, you may have considered purchasing credit repair leads from an internet company.

This isn’t such a bad idea if you are looking for an alternative lead source for credit repair.

The benefits . . .

The benefit of purchasing credit repair leads from an internet company is that the person that needs the credit repair came to a site and found an on line form to fill out specifically to acquire credit repair from a credit repair company.

The customer already understands that they will be contacted from somebody in the credit repair industry and they are waiting for a phone call.

The prospects on these credit repair leads are not playing with the idea of credit repair or just looking for information, they really need and want it. They have committed themselves to going somewhere and to someone for help.

For this reason alone it is a good idea to consider buying credit repair leads. Or at the very least, look into it. Call a few credit repair companies and find out where the leads are obtained from and what is involved with the purchase and delivery process. Purchasing credit repair leads just may be worth your time and money, so give it a shot.

Business card is a powerful piece of card handed out to your clients or given to you by someone which has all that information in such a small space. Business cards are an important part of any business and that gives a first impression of your business to anyone. So customize the card in such a way to make a good impression about it to others.

Create a business card that conveys a sense that you are by your name, name of the business, description of your business and other contact information so that they remember you.

Design steps of a effective business card:- First of all you should be aware of what would you like to have on the business card to convey others about you. You want to focus on the identity of your business right. So you need your name, business logo, email ID, web & postal address and finally the telephone no on it.

Second step is the look of the card – Go around with the cards in your collection which was handed over to you by your friends, relative, clients even strangers and have a good idea which impress you the most. I don’t say to clone it or borrow their idea but keep in mind which one stand out and which concept will suit you best.

The third and final step is the style – once you got an idea what you want. Work on the style of your business card for example if you are running a funeral home and having flashy picture on your card it won’t convey a good impression. The basic example is to have a simple designed one with information about you and your business is clear and prominent.

Your business card should have the same color and design of what you have on your other marketing materials like, brochure, stationery website. Utilize the space of your card cleverly and display your information which is essential and not any unwanted information which send out a wrong message.

A business card can do more than to improve your business it can also serve as a reminder of an appointment also a direction to your work place. So the key to a successful business card design is sensible design and what you convey on the card.

What a minefield! Your business has had a good year and you have decided to remind your loyal customers about how important they are to your business. Hopefully they will continue to buy from you in the future too. The trouble is, looking on the Internet; there are thousands of different corporate gift ideas to choose from that you could give away as freebees. So, what questions do you need to ask yourself and what are some of the options?

How often do they buy from me?

Is it once a week, once a month or once a year? It makes a difference when thinking about what type of gift will best remind them. If it is once a week or once a month, may be you could think about a calendar or memo pad, with your business name on it. Once a year needs a different approach, and the choice corporate gift idea should be something relative to the value of the order. For example, if the value of the order is only small, then the calendar or memo pad idea will be okay here. However, if the value of the order each year has a big impact on your turnover, then perhaps something that will last much longer than the year would work better, i.e. leather or silver desk equipment or more personal gifts, don’t forget your company logo though, but make it discreet!

How important are they to the continuing success of my business?

The answer to this question will help you decide how much you want to spend. If you decide they are not important, don’t waste too much money – remember you are spending hard-earned profits! The other issue here is whether you want to encourage them to buy more from you, in which case you might want to spend a bit more. This approach doesn’t always work, but surely it is worth a try.

How many competitors do you have?

If you have plenty of competitors all trying to get a larger share of the market, it might be a good idea to try and find something a bit more unusual or to try a slightly different approach. Food is always appreciated and the gift can reflect the value. A bar of chocolate with the company logo on, a box of chocolates or a hamper – the choice is endless. I know from experience the number of pens and calendars that are sent at Christmas but what about a keyring or mug or clock?

Who am I trying to remind?

I was trying to explain this to someone the other day. If you are trying to influence the person who places the orders fine, but what about the person who holds the purse strings? You might want to remind them of how your company can help increase their business too. This is the area where it is difficult to decide whether the corporate gift idea is for a quality item or perhaps, if your business is large enough to be able to do this, offer an event.

Over the past few years corporate events have become an industry of their own, and there are a number of websites available for corporate events planning. Events can include days where participants drive, sail, fly or shoot (clay pigeons) or boxes at major sporting events such as Wimbledon, Ascot and Henley. Tickets to film premieres and the theatre are also popular. It all depends on your budget and what you are trying to achieve. The value in terms of additional business has never been proved though, but you could have fun trying!

Lastly, when you speak to your contact or his boss, do you have to go through the secretary first? If so, he or she is a vital link in the chain! Don’t forget that the secretary will decide who his or her boss will speak to so a corporate gift idea for them could reap benefits later. Chocolates, flowers, potted plants… all reminders that they are appreciated too.

Promotional corporate gift ideas

This is an extremely large area of business for those organisations offering everything from promotional ‘T’ shirts to pens, erasers, memo pads, balloons, carrier bags etc. Mainly for the exhibition and conference market, these promotional corporate gift ideas, need to either stand out visually from others or be of a better quality, if the exhibition attendee is to remember the stand and the goods being offered. To my mind, the company that provides the really strong carrier bag to take all the ‘freebies’ home, is the one that will be remembered longest!

At the time of this writing, Multi-Level Marketing is more than 50 years old. It’s truly amazing that such a ludicrous business model has survived, and even experienced incredible growth, over such a great length of time.

On the surface, this type of business has a lot of appeal. Many people are attracted to the idea of selling quality products and sharing a lucrative opportunity with their friends and neighbors.

But once you take a good hard look at the nuts and bolts of how 99% of these so-called ‘opportunities’ intend to pay you for your efforts, much of the initial appeal goes right down the drain. It’s fairly common for an MLMer to sell a $50 bottle of herbal tonic and make only a few bucks for themselves.

A big reason for this is the complex structure of most network marketing programs. Money is divided among so many different parties that it’s difficult to squeeze a decent profit out of a retail transaction.

For example, you might sell a bottle of your program’s super tonic at $50, but three of your upline sponsors have to get their share of the profits before you get paid. And of course there will be at least one heavy hitter in your upline tree who gets to claim some type of ‘over-ride’ bonus; this will mean more of the money you generated goes into someone else’s pocket.

And let’s not forget about the clever ‘one-up’ option many MLMs build into their payment structure. In this scenario, a member’s first sale gets credited to their immediate upline.

I’ve looked at many compensation plans that require a member to retail nearly $200 in product before they are even eligible for a commission. In other words, if they fall short of this monthly quota by even a few bucks, they don’t get paid!

The solution to this dilemma, according to the always jovial sponsors and team leaders?

Just buy the minimum amount of product yourself so that every real sale you make generates commission. And then of course you are told to encourage anyone you refer to the business to do the same.

How reasonable does that sound to you?

Sure it’s great to use and believe in a product you are trying to sell. But buying $200 in vitamins or face cream every month just so you can qualify for your distributor commissions borders on the idiotic, in my opinion.

If the potential monetary gains were significant in most cases perhaps I’d have a different attitude. But more often than not participants of an MLM system are paid 10% or less of the money they generate for the program.

In essence, the company owners and the professional network marketers who have helped them launch their business are keeping most of the money created by the retail and referral activity of their members.

You don’t need to join an online business opportunity to put money into somebody else’s pockets. That’s what a J-O-B is for.

The web is full of affiliate programs that pay their members a fair percentage on each successful transaction. There is absolutely no reason to settle for some kind of bogus MLM system that asks you to work your tail off for pennies on the dollar.

As a business grows so is its need for better and cost-effective advertising materials. One option that business owners may try to consider is catalog printing. Catalogs are not only known for its ability to effectively grab the attention of customer but it is also famous in terms of the convenience it brought its readers. Convenience in the sense that it can be easily browsed and especially when done in full colors can really left a mark on the minds of its readers.

Catalogs are best option for businesses who may want to increase their sales. Another advantage derived in employing catalogs is that it saves the business time and money. There would be no need to employ separate advertisement materials for each product and services since everything are incorporated in a single catalog. The catalog will not only showcase products and services but will also show the prices as well as the individual description of each products and services. Customers are therefore provided with ample information that assists them in deciding whether they want to purchase or not.

Catalogs also provide a source of future sales since customers who may not have at present the money to buy any of the products and services on display would tend to keep the catalog for future reference of any product and services they may want to purchase. The significance of catalogs in promoting business is undeniable that is why it is important to hire only the best catalog printing company there is.

A well crafted catalog can tempt customers to take hold of products and services even if they don’t have a need for it yet. Professionally done catalogs are like nymphs seducing customers to indulge and take hold of products and services. You can attest to the catalog’s effectiveness in captivating customers, how many times have you ordered products that you don’t necessarily need, simply because the pictures look so tempting that you feel you just have to have one of those displayed products? I for one have always been a victim to the allure of catalogs. I just can’t seem to resist astounding pictures of cosmetics, bags, shoes….you name it, I ask you what a girl to do especially when the catalog is teeming with great discounts?

And how about catalogs on cars? Those awesome full color catalogs that seem to say go and ask your bank if they can grant you a loan right away! The effects that catalogs have on its readers are simply amazing that is why it is important to hire only the best catalog printing services available.

And is having a logo really that important?
My answer to both of these questions is an emphatic YES!

A logo is a graphical or visual representation of your brand. Your brand is your business, product or service and what it stands for. It’s whatever you are out in the marketplace selling.

Why do small businesses need a logo?

Why can’t they just market using their company name? Logos are expensive, right? Can a small business owner really afford to get a logo? Or at least a good logo? Lots of questions. Some I’m sure you’ve pondered yourself at one time or another.

I believe ALL businesses should have a logo

You need a graphic element that captures the essence of your business and communicates an idea to your prospects and customers. A mark that can lead the look and feel of all of your marketing materials.

You only have a split second to grab someone’s attention

You need to make the most of that time. A good logo can communicate a message or intrigue a prospect to want to find out more.

Before you decide you can’t afford a good logo
Let me assure you that is absolutely NOT the case. Look, I’ve been in the ad agency business for 20 years. During that time I’ve worked with some of the most talented graphic artists and designers in the business. But even I did not turn to them when I needed a logo for 10stepmarketing.

Why? I couldn’t. They were simply too expensive for my small business budget. So what did I do? I found a great alternative that’s inexpensive, fast and good.

You can get a great logo for between $300 and $500 from a company called LogoWorks. And, you’ll get a variety of logo designs to choose from and you’ll have them within just a few days. Plus you’ll get several rounds of revisions to make sure you are completely happy with your final mark.

What I like most about Logoworks is they require you to complete a creative direction worksheet that ensures their designs are strategically on target with your brand. This is KEY if you want your logo to be a good representation of your business. If anyone offers to design a logo for you without some form of creative brief or direction worksheet, don’t do it!

If you don’t have a logo, or if yours is in need of an overhaul, check out LogoWorks. You can learn more at http://www.10stepmarketing.com/valuabletips.htm

For most people each day is just like the last, with the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. For busy people time flies fast but for some, each day is a constant waiting in emptiness. When the calendar was not yet introduced people count days by tally just like a prisoner’s tally on the dungeon wall. Luckily today, there is no more need to carve lines on the wall just to keep up with days. Calendars are now available to help us carry on with each passing day.

As every new year starts you would need to dispose of your old calendar and buy a new one. As they say, out with the old, in with the new. Calendars have been indispensable to many people since they were first used. They help keep tracks of appointments and special dates. For business owners, they can give out calendars to their customers each year as part of their marketing strategy. Nevertheless, some businesses are concern with the cost of printing a calendar especially if it involves a lot of color. With the printing technology today, a business owner need not worry about the cost of printing a calendar anymore. There are machines and technologies available nowadays that make calendar printing faster, easier and more affordable.

So when designing your calendar ask the following question: how many colors will you utilize? What pictures will you use? How much is your budget? Answering these questions is important because it will tell you how to approach your calendar design more effectively. A professional can also help you in the designing process. They can tell you what design fits your image and your budget. Remember that people will see your calendar for a long time so making a good impression is very important.

Thus, when considering the overall look and feel of your calendar, design it with utmost care. Do not overdue the graphics. If you have a logo, use it in the calendar. Full color photos are always a good idea and unless you know what you are doing, it is better not to design your art work. And when it is time to print your calendar, make sure that you are dealing with a reputable and knowledgeable company.

Remember that calendars are a good way to attract customers especially if your calendar is unique and attractive. It can help build good relationship with your current and new customers. So take advantage of this opportunity to keep customers and attract prospects.

Are you thinking about purchasing a display, but not sure about the investment? Renting may be the best option. Good justifications can be made for both renting and purchasing a trade show exhibit. This sometimes stressful decision depends on the nature of your trade show program, marketing goals, and budget.

Renting can be a wise decision when your company has decided to start exhibiting at trade shows, your company is new and wants to make an initial big splash with a smaller budget, or your trade show schedule has overlapping shows and you need a second display. When first developing a trade show program to drive, supplement, or diversify your marketing mix, it can be difficult to determine the best exhibit for your needs. Making a large financial commitment on an exhibit under these circumstances can be a daunting task. Analyzing your company’s needs and choosing the right booth is integral to a successful trade show. It can be a good idea to rent rather than purchase a display even after you have done your research and decided on the best exhibit to fit your needs. This offers you an opportunity to “test drive” your exhibit. This renting strategy can also be used anytime you need to purchase a new exhibit, even if you have a trade show program already established.

Trade shows are huge undertakings, and when launching a start-up company with new products, trade shows are almost always in the marketing mix. Yet an exhibit, as integral as it is to a trade show, is one of the last things a marketing manager is thinking about when trying to launch a new company’s concept, service, or product at an industry trade show. All the tasks that go into a show exhibit – transportation, drayage, installation and dismantling – can be major headaches when you have leads and clients to cater to, not to mention promotional materials and product samples. Renting often relieves this burden since most display rental companies handle the installation and dismantling, shipping and drayage of the rental display, which frees up your time to handle more important things.

Renting a booth may be a great idea when purchasing an exhibit is not an option. This greatly reduces the initial expenditure and allows you to maintain the visual presence necessary to generate leads at a show.

If you only attend one show per year, it may be more beneficial to rent a display and purchase graphics, however if your organization has a more rigorous convention schedule, it will be more economical to purchase an exhibit. Typically, after about four shows the rental booth costs would have covered the purchase of a new exhibit.

The best of both rental and purchase worlds is when the rental display company offers a rebate plan similar to OneSource Exhibits’ Rental Rebate Program, which allows 100 percent of the rental fee to be applied toward the purchase price of a similar display if purchased within 90 days of the rental. This gives your company the flexibility to determine which type of display will work best for your trade show program prior to buying the exhibit. Call a OneSource Exhibits Consultant today at 800-767-8225 to learn more about our wide variety of rental displays.
