Marketing is one of the most important business factors. From my experience, I have just listed 10 effective marketing strategies that have helped my marketing development, and hope will help your business, too. Here are 10 secret and effective marketing strategies.

1. Create a directory of web sites on a specific topic. Give people the option of adding the directory to their web site by linking to it. Put your business advertisement at the top of the director’s home page. This technique will get lots of people to linkto your web site and give you free advertising.

2. Do you have a product or service that doesn’t sell good? Offer it as a free bonus for someone else’s product or service. Get free advertising by placing your web site or business ad on the product or in the product package.

3. Trade autoresponder ads with other businesses. If both of you send out information with auto-responders just exchange a small classified ad to put at the bottom or top of each other’s autoresponder message.

4. Start a free tip line. Offer a free daily, weekly, or monthly tip recorded on your voice mail. The tips should be related to your business. Include your ad for your web site or business at the beginning or end of your message.

5. Exchange content with other web sites and ezines. You could trade articles, top ten lists, etc. Both parties could include a resource box at the end of the content.

6. Offer to insert ads into your product package for other businesses. Just ask, in return that they do the same for your business. You should only trade insert ads with businesses that have the same target audience.

BMSE :: Already a hype

Thinking of online success, the early opening of the new “Big Marketers’ Search Engine” couldn’t be thought of as different. We initiated the project a little way back, but BMSE finally saw the light on the 25th of March. Nothing went wrong until 3 days after, and if you tried to use BMSE for a search, then you all know what we’re talking about.

Google disabled it. Yes, they actually temporarily disabled the displaying of results for anything you tried to search with it, claiming we violated their “Terms of Policy”. Well, we didn’t do cloacking, we didn’t do result forwarding, we didn’t display any pop-ups at all, we didn’t use any traffic boost technique..then what was it?!

Astonishing as the answer may be, we couldn’t believe it too. We actually exceeded the number of standard queries with our new engine. What was that number then, you may think?! Well..think of it as exactly 1768 unique search queries in only 3 days. |WoW| !!
That really is big. That’s why we called it this way, although we didn’t imagine it would be that big, it seems that BMSE is really proud of its name and already taking over.

Because I Was A Sucker

I was chatting with a friend of mine recently, and we found ourselves on the subject of my website and ebook. I rambled on about how pleased I am with the way this project is going, and he asked me: “What got you involved with internet marketing in the first place?”

I thought about this question for a second, then gave him an honest answer. “I got involved in this business because I was a sucker.”

We both had a good chuckle at this. My friend laughed because my response caught him off guard, but I was laughing because what I said was true.

You see, I came to the wonderful world of net marketing without a shred of marketing experience. Sure, I had been a bit of an entrepreneur all my life, and even been self employed a few times, but I had no real idea of how to effectively promote a product, or even draft a business plan.

I was drawn to this niche by the residual effects of too many infomercials and “get rich quick” ads in the classified section of my local newspaper. Even before I owned a computer, I used to fantasize about making a ton of money with some “secret wealth system”.

I admit it folks.

I honestly believed there were “little known methods” that could make the average person rich with just a bit of hard work and an open mind. The mainstream population, I told myself, was just too brainwashed to accept these opportunities. All I needed to do was get myself a PC with an internet connection, tap into the right system, and I’d be on my way.

Yeah…

A few thousand dollars and countless hours of frustration later, I had a frightening thought. Had I been duped? Was all this internet marketing stuff just a scam?

Or… could it be… was it possible… that maybe I just wanted an easy way out, and was willing to believe in even the most ludicrous of proposals in a blind effort to find that golden opportunity that would have me basking on a beach somewhere while my replicated affiliate website did all the work for me?

Autoresponder Access To Secret Pages

People love to have access to things that other people can’t get. It makes them feel special, and it
is a marketing tactic that really works. Granting access to secret pages works well on the Internet.
It works best when it is limited. For instance, you can grant access to only a lucky few, or you can
have a time limit for accessing the pages. You can grant access to secret pages on your website with
an autoresponder.

The way this works is quite simple. You create a directory on your website that is password protected, with one login and password that everybody can use. You then create some valuable content for that directory. You can call this your secret vault or your private stash or anything else you want to call it – as long as it sounds like something that your visitors may really want to get their hands on. For instance ‘the secret tools that helped me earn thousands each month’ would probably entice many people who want to learn how to make money.

Once you get the directory and the pages set up, put the URL of the pages and the login name and
password in an autoresponder. Write a sales page and distribute it to your opt-in list, or have other list owners distribute it to theirs. Make sure you ‘limit’ the offer. Don’t let people assume that you are going to share this secret information with the rest of the world – they want to be the only ones with this special access!
